Laboratory Technical Coordinator - Chemistry
We have a full-time, day shift clinical laboratory technical coordinator opportunity for a skilled and experienced medical laboratory scientist/ clinical laboratory scientist. This position will provide leadership, direction, and testing expertise to our chemistry and general laboratory benches at Banner Boswell Hospital lab in Sun City.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for a high level of technical knowledge and application of that knowledge to department testing, clinical relevance, and complex problem solving skills. This position serves as a department resource, and is responsible for assisting with department compliance with all pertinent laboratory accrediting agency and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA '88, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
LSA's hospital laboratories require a bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, medical technology OR bachelor's in chemical or biological science with MT certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB). SQL commercial sites require an associate's degree in medical laboratory technology OR must meet the definition of testing personnel as defined by CLIA '88 for the appropriate complexity level required by site or discipline in. Individuals with specialty certification may only work in the discipline of their specialty. Three years experience as a technologists in high complexity testing in LSA's hospital laboratories. Three years experience in high or moderate complexity testing in SQL commercial sites as required by the specific discipline and/or laboratory. Exceptional skills and a high level of self motivation, with increasing levels of responsibility and strong leadership skills. Well versed on regulatory agencies (CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, AABB). Communicates effectively in oral and written formats sufficient to demonstrate comprehension. Use of mathematics, performance of detailed work; working with frequent interruptions, multi-tasking, problem solving, and memorization, Ability to take direction and assimilate instructions quickly. Basic computer skills are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
LSA's hospital laboratories- MT certification preferred
SQL commercial sites - Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, medical technology. MLT or MT certification (ASCP, AMT, AAB).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
